Held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Palace Hotel in Battipaglia, with two sessions, a morning session from 10AM to 1PM; and an afternoon session from 3PM to 6PM. The final conference of the new orto chain project, which, after its presentation last july within giffoni film festival, continued with its tour of dissemination events, which stopped at the partners' headquarters and beyond, the last of which was held last Saturday at eccellenze campane in via Brin in Naples. The speeches focused on the founding aspects of the new orto chain project, especially on organizational models aimed at developing new forms of marketing and communication in short channels, finding an attentive ear in a large audience of operators in the sector. The "New Orto Chain" project is part of the strategic actions of the Pif "Piana del Sele" and aims to explore and implement new forms of marketing in different modes of direct sales to consumers such as direct sales by subscription, supply to solidarity purchasing groups and the development of an e-commerce platform. Workshop: "youth system and welfare sustainability: WWF italy presents itself" - Naples, Pacanowsky Palace
The Simone Cesaretti Foundation organized this workshop as a first moment of encounterbetween WWF Italy and university and non-university young people, to start a long-termpath for them to be involved, empowered and informed about the environmental issue andthe opportunities for individual, social and professional actions that exist to address it,through the knowledge of the largest environmental association at the international level,WWF. At the close of the workshop, the Simone Cesaretti Foundation presented the 2012Excellence in Sustainability Award to WWF Italy as an exemplary model of an institutioncommitted to environmental sustainability.
"La Sfida Energetica Alla Sostenibilità Del Benessere”, Napoli, Villa Doria d'Angri
With the organization of this Event, the Simone Cesaretti Foundation, has placed at the center of the debate on the sustainability of well-being the energy issue, a difficult challenge to face that, starting from the environmental dimension, also ends up compromising sustainable development on the socio-economic, territorial and generational levels. The event was attended by many representatives of the institutional and business worlds whowill discuss together the important issue of energy sustainability. The Forum closed with the awarding of a prize to some business, institutional and civil society entities that have chosen, through the adoption of responsible behaviors, solutions for the pursuit of energy sustainability, considered "Excellence in Sustainability".
Echoes of April 2 Conference - "Excellence for a competitive development of the Mezzogiorno."; Naples, Villa Doria d'Angri
The issue of the sustainability of human development must be placed at the center of theconcerns of a responsible society. Human development, to be sustainable, must respond tocriteria of ethicality of the principles by which it is inspired; rest on the principle of generational equity; and be based on a balanced and efficient allocation of resources among its various dimensions. Among the latter, in particular, the territorial dimension, in a context of global competition, assumes a strategic role. With this in mind, the Simone Cesaretti Foundation believes it is important that the debate on the Mezzogiorno be oriented toward the search for strategies of Sustainable Competitive Development, leveraging those that represent its most important Excellencies.
Forum: "Values, Knowledge, Environment, Participation - Gears for the Sustainability of Human Development." Naples, Villa Doria d'Angri
The Forum aimed to activate a discussion on those principles that the Simone Cesaretti Foundation considers essential to move a sustainable development process in spatial, temporal and dimensional terms. Respect for values, the advancement of science, respect for the environment and the participation of individuals in the development process represent fundamental principles that, if perfectly synchronized with each other, can function as real gears that activate strategies capable of overcoming challenges to the sustainability of human development. During the course of the Forum, the reports presented offered insights into the meaning and role of these principles while the panel discussion through the activation of a discussion offered insights into possible directions to be taken in order to contribute to overcoming complex challenges to sustainability.
Forum: "Youth and the Sea." Terracina
The Simone Cesaretti Foundation, having among its statutory purposes the full enhancement of the youth component of human capital, as a driving element of sustainable development, for the I Forum on April 2, 2008 organized the Competition "Youth and theSea." The Competition aimed to facilitate the knowledge and increase the awareness of young people towards the sea, understood as an environmental, economic, social and cultural "Resource System" to be protected, utilized and enhanced with a view to Sustainable Development. On the occasion of the award ceremony for the winners of the "Young People and the Sea" competition, a round table was held, attended by scholars and experts, journalists and documentary filmmakers, teachers, students and participants in the competition itself. In order to give visibility to the project ideas implemented, theFoundation set up, at the same time as the holding of the Conference, an exhibition of the numerous works received therefore, to reward and give visibility to the projects that have most distinguished themselves, as well as for the creative spirit and innovative character, for the originality of the development of actions for the promotion and enhancement of the sea.
Forum "Marine Protected Areas and Sustainable Development in Territorial Systems"
Aware of the centrality of Marine Protected Areas in the pursuit of strategies for sustainable development, the Simone Cesaretti Foundation organized this Forum as part of the project to raise awareness and promote Marine Protected Areas carried out with the active collaboration of the Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea. The speakers' speeches offered an opportunity for a joint reflection on Sustainable Development and the role of Marine Protected Areas in the socio-economic and cultural context, not only locally but also globally.
